Homeroom / Grade Representatives (year-long)
1-3 persons needed per classroom/grade to: communicate upcoming events and other important information going on in the classroom/school to parents; recruit volunteers to help teacher in classroom, field trips, etc.; coordinate projects as requested by the teacher/school. One-year commitment.
Lower Campus Lunch Volunteer (available throughout the year)
Assist the teachers by lending an extra hand during lunchtime. This is a great opportunity to get to know the kids and you can sign up for one volunteer slot or volunteer throughout the whole year.

Parent Coffees (Fall and Spring)
One to two persons needed to organize 2+ coffees each year. To be held in the fall and spring after Prayer Service.
Muffins with Mom / Donuts with Dad (Fall and Spring)
Plan and promote the Muffins with Mom event once each year and the Donuts with Dad event once each year. Team needed to coordinate location, refreshments, muffins/donuts, scheduling/promotion, set up and clean up.
School Supplies (End and Beginning of School Year)-
Two persons needed to coordinate and implement ordering of school supplies for parents (optional convenience for parents) prior to school start, inclusive of vendor selection, identification of supplies needed by each grade level, communications, ordering, and distribution. One-year commitment.
Kinder “Garden” Party (August)
A meet and greet for incoming Kindergarten parents, while their kids enjoy a few hours in Kindergarten classrooms. Organize refreshments and assist Admissions Coordinator, Megan Hower, as needed. This event is managed by the Hospitality Committee.
Parent First Day of School Coffee
A coffee for parents on the first day of school for Kindergarten students. Organize refreshments and assist in set-up and clean-up. One to two volunteers.
Parent Information Night (September)
One to two persons for each campus. Order and coordinate hospitality (cookies and coffee/water) at each campus. Usually a Tuesday and Thursday evening in September.
School Picture Day (September)
One person for each campus. Assist the kids and the photographer on picture day.
Marathon Fundraiser (October 4th)
Work with the faculty member in charge to prepare for and staff this fundraising event. This event is usually in February.

Family Bingo Night (January)
Organize family bingo night held once each year. Team of volunteers needed to promote, set up, clean up, snacks, drinks, run bingo game, prizes, etc. 2+ Co-Chair(s) with committee of 4-6 members.
Admissions Open House (November 15)
Organize hospitality for this November evening event for prospective parents who are interested in Carondelet Catholic School, and help Admissions Coordinator, as needed. This event is managed by the Hospitality Committee.
Christmas Program Refreshments (December)
One to two persons to order refreshments/snacks for kids to have during Christmas Program, and organize by classroom. Work with 7th and 8th graders to distribute to classrooms on the day of the Program. This event is managed by the Hospitality Committee.
Grandparents Tea (December)
Work with the school to organize refreshments and clean-up for the tea offered to Carondelet grandparents.
Catholic Schools Week(January 26-February 2)
One chair and 4 members start right after Christmas break to coordinate with Student Council and organize events related to Catholic Schools Week, which is usually the end of January. Events usually include school and church staff appreciation meals and activities.
Art Adventure (January/February)
25+ persons needed to lead 1-3 classroom discussions in January and February at CCS. Art Adventure is a program that engages students with artworks from the Minneapolis Institute of Art’s collection. The program encourages creativity, critical thinking and global awareness through in-depth explorations of art across various cultures and time periods. Art Adventure is an opportunity for students to experience art up close and personal through reproductions, technology and touch-and-feel props. Training (Fall) on all art work is provided as well as mentoring from current Art Adventure volunteers. If you love art and spending time in the classroom this volunteer opportunity is for you. 8th Grade History Fair (February/March)
Two persons needed to work with the faculty member in charge of the 8th Grade History Fair to coordinate refreshments for the judges. This event is usually on a Thursday or Friday in February/March. Note: Upper Campus familiarity is preferred as it helps logistically.
Parents A-Go-Go Fundraiser (February)
Work with the faculty member in charge to prepare for and staff this parent-only fundraising event. This event is usually in February.
Teacher/Administrative Professionals’ Appreciation Day (April/May)
One to two persons needed per campus to recognize staff in small ways (i.e. drinks, treats, cards, bagels coffee, etc.) on these national days of recognition. National Teacher Appreciation Day is Tuesday, May 7th and Administrative Professionals’ Day is Wednesday, April 24th. One-year commitment.
Pops and Lollies (Father/Daughter Dance) (Spring)
Plan and facilitate an event for fathers and daughters. 2+ Co-Chair(s) with committee of 6-10 members.
Mom and Son Event (Spring)
Plan and facilitate an event for mothers and sons. 2+ co-chairs with 6-10 committee members.
Kindergarten Graduation Celebration Reception (June)
Work with Kindergarten teachers to host a reception for the families of "graduating" Kindergarteners, following their program and prayer service on the last day of school. Note: teachers prefer volunteers not be Kindergarten parents. This event is managed by the Hospitality Committee.
8th Grade Graduation Breakfast Reception (June)
Host a breakfast for the families of graduating 8th graders the morning of their graduation. This event takes place in the CTK Social Hall. Arrange for continental breakfast, set-up and clean-up. 1 Chair with committee of 4.
