February Preschool News
Our Famous Artists unit was a big hit! We had fun recreating famous works of art, and I enjoy hearing that the children are bringing home some of their new knowledge. Portfolios will come home the first week of February.
February Learning Themes
Healthy Hearts and Safe Bodies
Taking care of our bodies is important to our health. This includes eating well, getting plenty of sleep and exercise, and staying safe. We will be looking at food charts in America and other parts of the world. We will identify sources of food, and recognize, prepare, eat and discuss the value of healthy food. We will also talk about different ways to exercise and stay safe.

Valentine Party
Our Valentine party will be on Thursday, February 11th. The day will include fun activities and a Valentine exchange. The children will be making Valentine bags in class. Please have your child address and sign one valentine for each classmate and bring them to class the day of the party. A complete list of classmates can be found in your school directory.
The Mail Bag
We will continue working on our addresses and learning how to address and send mail. Kids love to receive mail! Please send a valentine card (via the postal service) addressed to your child at Carondelet Catholic School, 2900 W. 44th Street, 55410. I am hoping to receive them for our party on the 11th. If this is not possible please let me know. The children do not know that they will be getting mail so please keep this a secret. Thank you!
