Student Council Meeting Notes May 31 Congratulations to the new Student Council Officers! All of the speeches were great, and remember if you ran to be an officer and did not make it, you can still run to be a homeroom representative if you were not one this year!
April 20 Today the whole student council met. We talked about plans for next year. The Variety Show will be on May 13th. We talked about the election for next year's student council officers. Seventh graders, start thinking about running for President, Vice-President, Secretary, or Treasurer. We also talked about our plans for the prides next year, if you have an opinion on this subject, tell your class representative. Do you like the prides? Should we change the name? Should 7th graders be co-leaders? Tell us what you think!
January 5
Today the Catholic Schools week, and Birthdays committees met. The dress up days were decided for catholic schools week, and a theme was picked out for the week. The birthdays committee started making a new poster for the January birthdays.
December 8
Today the whole student council met at lunch and recess. The publicity committee put up a poster that will show which committees will be meeting on wednesday, so Student Council members, be sure to check this poster to see if you have a meeting on wednesday! This poster is located by the steps leading down to the lunch room. The dance committee is very exited to be planning the middle school dance! The song requests written down by the 8th graders have been collected and are being considered. The dance will be on Friday the 17th.
November 18
Yesterday, the Service, Publicity, St. Nicholas, Birthdays, and Prides committes met. The publicity committee finished making the poster that will announce when meetings will be. We will put up this poster ASAP. Pictures of the Prides, leaf raking, and the 8th grade vs. teacher volleyball game were put in the photo gallery on the Carondelet website!
November 10
Today the families, out of uniform, and birthday committees met. The families (pride) committee organized all of the Pride names. The groups came up with some great ideas! The out of uniform committee planned the next out of uniform day. The Birthdays committee made a new poster for the new month. If your birthday is this month, look for your name on the poster! A few members from the Publicity committee met to finish a poster announcing when the student council meetings will be. We are planning on putting this poster outside the lunchroom, so check it weekly to see when student council meetings will be taking place.
September 22
Today the student council had our first meeting with all of the class representatives! We talked about fun ideas and committee leaders. If you have any ideas about fun activities (karaoke, games, ect..) tell one of your class reps.
September 9 Yesterday we talked about the marathon skit. We came up with a skit using stuffed animals and crazy hats. Remember, student council rep speeches are on friday the 10th or Monday the 13th! Good luck to all that are running!!
