HOMEROOM NEWS
Spanish Mass this Wednesday at the UC @ 10:00 A.M.
My homeroom gets to be out of uniform this Friday (May 18th) for meeting our Marathon goal award.
7th GRADE GEOGRAPHY
In 7th grade geography we begin the year by learning about the Earth and its physical, human, and cultural geography. The use of geography skills such as reading, interpreting, and writing maps will also be covered. As we proceed through the school year our class will also focus on many different regions of the world including the United States and Canada, Latin America, Europe and Russia, Africa, and Asia. Homework: 5/17 - Complete GRR 19-3 for tomorrow.
6th GRADE HISTORY - ANCIENT CIVILIZATIONS
The 6th grade social studies class this year covers the history of Ancient Civilizations. We begin the year by taking a look at prehistory and the beginnings of human societies. Some topics of study include the ancient civilizations of Egypt, India, China, Greece, Rome, Africa, and more. These topics relate very well to our studies of the Old Testament in our religion classes. Homework: 5/16 - Chapter 9 Test is Friday. Study guides have gone home. Study for that test!!!
6th GRADE RELIGION
The main focus for 6th grade religion is the study of the Old Testament. Later on in the year the class also works on the Growing in Love curriculum as well as the personal safety unit that is mandated by the Archdiocese. Homework:
5/16 - Complete activity on p. 42 for Friday.
