Welcome to Classroom 200!
Homeroom News:
The 6th grade classes will be planning and leading the final school liturgy on May 23rd. We hope you can join us at 2:45 to celebrate a great year at CCS and say good-bye to Mrs. Knauff, Mr. Bo and Sr. Kathleen!
RELIGION:
We will continue in Growing in Love, completing chapter 5 (Holy and Whole) and moving on to chapter 6 (Celebrating Life).
6th GRADE MATH:
We are beginning our final chapter in 6th grade math (Chapter 13). This is an important chapter to help prepare the students for 7th grade pre-algebra, covering equations, functions and graphing.
Homework:
Due 5/9: pg. 634 - 635 #34 - 70 EVEN
Due 5/10:pg. 643, # 1 - 3, 12 - 14, 20 - 22 ALL
#24 - 40 EVEN
Due 5/15: pg 695, #1 - 24

Due 5/18: pg 704 - 705, #11 - 34, 38 - 46
7th GRADE MATH:
We are reviewing key concepts necessary for 8th grade Algebra, and the students should be completing their homework without the use of a calculator! Multiplying and dividing decimals is proving to be challenging for them - many of them have forgotten their long division skills and are having a "refresher" course now! One of the essential skills as they move forward is mental math abilities and having a solid understanding of the numbers and processes.
Homework:
Due 5/15: pg 789 #12 - 30 even, pg 791 #6 - 46 evenDue 5/16: pg. 792 #4 - 28 evenDue 5/17: pg. 764 #2 - 34 evenThere will be a review test
Friday, May 18th covering multiplication/division of fractions and decimals, and solving equations with integers, fractions and decimals. We will begin our final chapter (chapter 8) next week, with a test on Thursday, May 31st.
**A reminder that students who have questions on their math homework or are struggling with a concept can come in early for Math help (Super Fun Math Time!) on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday @ 9:00 a.m.! **

Family, Faith, Friends (and football).
Those are things that are very important to me and in my life. My husband (Corey) and I have been married for 23 years, and have two very active children: Sean (17) and Kathleen (14), who keep us just busy enough to appreciate a quiet evening or Sunday afternoon together at home. I am a passionate Green Bay Packer and Wisconsin Badger fan -- born and raised in Wisconsin but I also love the Minnesota Twins.
Our family moved to Minnesota from Illinois 12 years ago, and prior to becoming a teacher, I spent 14 years in corporate management for Sears, moving around the mid-west. I discovered my vocation for teaching when I started volunteering and working at my parish school, St. John the Baptist in Savage. In addition to working at St. John's, I have also taught at St. Michael's parish school in West St. Paul and Providence Academy in Plymouth.
