We finished the Growing in Love curriculum and have worked
through the first chapter of Church History. Today we discussed
Pentecost and the beginnings of the persecution of the followers
of Jesus. Chapter two chronicles the first hundred years of the
church.
February
We are currently on chapter 4 of family life, talking about
lifestyles - single, religious, married - and how our
friendships and family relationships will develop habits
that will help us make good decisions about our paths
later in life.
Students use the time in class wisely to work on any and
all religion assignments. Sometimes there is homework
ONLY if a class project/activity/assignment is not completely
finished.
October 4
As we continue our studies of morality, students have
kept a complete notebook with prayer journal entries
and scripture searches as outlined in the text.
End of the quarter is Friday, October 29th. All students
need to complete 5 hours of service by then. Thanks to
the many that worked on Saturday at the marathon.
Watch for upcoming information on leaf raking.
Anyone can ask a teacher to help them out around their
room for service hours. I have slips to be filled out for
each activity. They should be signed by the supervisor of
the activity OR by you, the parent.
