More About Maureen Mack Education: BS in Elementary and Special Education from the University of Missouri; further work in math at the College of St Catherine.
Year joined Carondelet: 1977—the first time, for 6 months; 1980—the second time, for 3 years; 1992—the final time, to present.
Personal interests: I love to read — I read middle school books, current and classic novels and educational journals. I also enjoying walking and biking on the weekends. I try to be involved in activities here at my church—Christ the King. One of my favorite activities is Families Moving Forward; through this organization, the parish hosts homeless families each night for week, assuring that each person feels welcome, gets a hearty meal, and a good night's sleep. This summer we hosted 4 families with a total of ten children ages 8 and under!
Favorite Carondelet memory or event: Oh, I have so many. How could I ever forget teaching Mr. Wright when he was in Middle School? Or working with our principal, Becky Farber. when we were all young teachers, starting our families, and beginning lifelong friendships. Both of my two children went to Christ the King/CTK-STA from kindergarten through 8th grade—being a parent during those years and being a part of this community provided me with scores of wonderful memories.
